Province-Wide Protest

Are you fighting to keep your school open? Have you had a bad experience because of the school closure process, frequently referred to as the ARC process? You are not alone! Here’s your chance to be part of a province-wide protest with all communities taking action across the province on the same day.

Saturday, May 12, 2012

To end Education Week in style, all Ontario school groups are invited to host their own in-town demonstrations, email campaigns, twitter storms, picnics or any other activity to acknowledge the school closure process is destructive to communities and flawed in its structure. Collectively, through local and national media attention, we will send a message to: Dalton McGuinty, The Ministry of Education, Queen’s Park and Ottawa:

“Put a moratorium on School Accommodation Reviews”

“The process is flawed”

“STOP CLOSING SCHOOLS!”

Save Local Schools invites you to join us in this important demonstration from your own community, May 12th in mutual, collective solidarity against this flawed process
. Please let us know what you have planned and we will notify the media as to the extent of our action.  When we act alone , we are easily ignored.  When we act together we can make a difference.

RSVP ASAP:  savelocalschools@gmail.com or call Sandra Bruce at 705-639-2532
